Tomorrow, a new adventure begins: three countries in three months. We look forward to all three equally.
Uzbekistan - land of ancient history, the Silk Road and, stunning Islamic architecture ... of poets, music, the arts, of cotton, mountains and deserts and so much more.
Then on to Romania where Bran Castle is inextricably linked to the legend of Dracula. We will visit the Danube Delta for bird-watching, explore the markets to admire folk art traditions and enjoy views of the Carpathian mountains
Our journey will end on an active note in a land where citizens love and protect the natural beauty of their country, from spectacular mountains, glistening lakes and down into the world famous Postjna (karst) caves.
Home is via Trieste, only a few minutes from the Istrea peninsula of Slovenia and 90 km from Friuli Veneto, where Dad was born.
